Nick Carter turns in blistering final round at MWC Championships

TUCSON, Ariz. - Nick Carter turned in a blistering final round, and the University of Utah held on to finish fifth at the Mountain West Conference Championships at 14-over-par. Colorado State made a late push to claim their first ever MWC Championship at two-under.

Carter's 66 was the low round of the tournament. The senior surged to an eighth-place finish at after entering Saturday tied for 29th at six-over-par. UNLV's Eddie Olson claimed the individual medalist honors at four-under-par.
